My Story
MY HISTORYI spent my childhood creating imaginary worlds and writing short stories. I continued my passion for short story writing in my twenties, but slowly discovered a love of theatre and playwriting. In 2013, I gave up my first career to pursue writing full-time.
MY INFLUENCESI have always loved monologues, and Alan Bennett is a master of the form. My first two plays were comedy monologues and I have since written a number of one-actor plays. Bitchboxer and Bottleneck both left a lasting impression on me.
MY GOALSMy goal is to write plays that move audiences in the way that I have been moved by great theatre. I'm always fascinated by assumptions we commonly make which turn out to be wrong, and I try and expose those in my writing.
